We have this idea of what success looks like and then we do all that we can to achieve it. Then setbacks demand we become stronger or break into pieces. I once believed that what didn’t kill me only made me stronger, then I realized that you can become too strong. When you constantly work the same muscle over and over, it usually begins to strain from the pressure.

“There is beauty in being vulnerable…”

I was determined to be a strong woman, even if it meant that it would break me. I didn’t complain about my heartbreak, I wanted to be tough. I didn’t whine about not having the down payment for the house, I went to work. I didn’t cry when I lost my way. I just continued making turn after turn hoping one would put me back on the right path.
