My name is Alonda London.  I am the mother of two beautiful children, Britney and Branden London, who are now young adults. I raised them as a single parent. I lost my mother and my father to cancer, and my only sibling (my sister) who was only thirty years old at the time — to death due to a drug overdose.  My mother had given me (her first born daughter) to my aunt at 6 months old, and never came back to raise me herself. My aunt, who was the victim of domestic abuse throughout my childhood, raised me the best she could, until her early death from cancer struck our lives. Having the stigma/label of “orphan” caused me great depression.  I felt alone, abandoned, confused, rejected and there was a hole in my soul.
